Our Service Methodology
Every watch that comes through Wristforge follows the same initial path: a careful assessment, a clear summary of findings, and a written quote before any work begins. From there, the service diverges depending on what the piece needs and what the owner wants to proceed with.
We do not offer express services or rush jobs. The pace of mechanical work is the pace it takes to do it correctly. That said, we provide realistic timeframes at drop-off — and we keep to them.
At collection, you receive the watch in a sealed bag alongside a written record of the service: what was cleaned, what was replaced, what readings were taken. This documentation stays useful for the life of the piece.

Service 01
Light Service & Polish
A gentle external polish paired with a basic functional check for watches in fair condition. A simple way to refresh a piece's look and confirm it is running as it should. Any findings are shared plainly, with no obligation to take further steps.
This service suits watches that are keeping reasonable time, show some surface wear, and have not had any cosmetic attention in a while. It is also the appropriate starting point when you are simply unsure of a watch's current condition.

Mechanical Overhaul
A full strip, clean, lubricate, and regulate for mechanical movements that have not been serviced in some years. Suited to watches feeling tired or losing time. The owner receives clear performance readings and a summary of components renewed.
Mechanical movements need periodic servicing the way an engine does — not because anything is necessarily broken, but because lubricants dry, harden, and migrate over time. A movement running on dry surfaces wears faster and keeps less accurate time.

This package suits watches that have earned some wear and deserve a comprehensive address — not just mechanical servicing, but the case finish and sealing brought back to the standard the piece was built to. Original finishing character is maintained rather than erased.
